The competition seeks a design for an institution that will
commemorate the legacy of the world-renowned artistic duo, known for their
large-scale interventions in the landscape and public space. Architectural
teams from around the world took part in the competition, with Peer Collective’s
proposal making it through to the final.
PhD students from FA BUT – Daniel Struhařík, Marek Hlavička and Georgi
Dimitrov – contributed to the competition entry as part of the Peer Collective team.
In the final round, they will further develop the architectural design for the
new cultural centre, which is to be built in Christo’s hometown.
Reaching the final represents a significant international
achievement and confirms the quality of the work carried out by young
architects associated with FA BUT.
Congratulations, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for the final round of the competition!
