Monika Konrad in a podcast about cities and public space
How can we design cities that are good to live in? Why are
residential neighbourhoods still being built today without high-quality public
spaces, services or safe pedestrian routes? Monika Konrad, a lecturer at the
Faculty of Architecture at Brno University of Technology, addressed these and
other questions in an interview for the Architektoniczny Podcast.
In a discussion with editor Artur Celiński, she spoke about
urban planning, suburbanisation, the character of contemporary streets, and how
well-designed public spaces can contribute to a better everyday life for
residents. The interview also touches on topics such as mobility, access to
