The Mařena Student Festival will feature music and a new series of talks
The courtyard of FA BUT will once again come
alive with the Mařena Student Festival from 17 to 24 September. This year’s event will feature
concerts, talks and spaces for socialising.
The music programme will be opened by Hopsen Clark &
Vivace Soundsystem, who blend storytelling, hip hop, jazz, breakcore and live
drums. Also performing will be the Slovak musician Obligatne with her
melancholic guitar pop, and the Slovak visual artist and musician Edúv Syn,
whose distinctive work draws on trap, punk and other genres.
A new feature of this year’s festival will be the ‘Student
Special’ lecture series. Students who wish to present their project, work or
the topic they are exploring to the festival audience are welcome to take part.
We will gradually be adding further programme details and
organisational information. For more information, follow @marena2k26.
