A Walk Through the Architecture of the Židenice Funeral Hall

After many years, the Židenice Funeral Hall is regaining its original beauty. Designed by architect Ivan Ruller, the building—which has undergone extensive renovation—will soon serve its original purpose once again. Those interested will have the opportunity to discover its architectural and artistic qualities during a guided tour titled “A Hall of Mourning, Yet Full of Beauty,” which will take place on August 27 at 4:00 p.m.

The tour will be led by artist Tomáš Ruller, architect Marek Štěpán, and Petr Kunc, mayor of the Brno-Židenice district, all of whom are involved in the restoration of this exceptional building. Visitors will learn about the building’s architectural concept as well as the many works of art that are part of it.

Participation in the tour is free, but advance registration is required. Details are available on the KAM Brno website and in the Facebook event.
