A More Streamlined FA BUT Social Media Presence. Profiles Are Being Consolidated Across BUT
In the summer of 2026, a university-wide effort was
undertaken to unify social media profiles across BUT. These changes also
affected the BUT Faculty of Architecture. The goal was to make the accounts of
the faculties and other university units easier to find, more organized, and
clearly linked to the BUT brand at first glance.

Part of a Unified System
In recent years, profiles for individual faculties and
university units were created in various ways, leading to inconsistent names
and usernames. BUT is therefore introducing a unified system for naming profiles
on Meta social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads), LinkedIn,
YouTube, and the X network.
Special emphasis is placed on Instagram, which is one of the
university’s main communication channels for prospective students, current
students, and the general public.
What’s Changing on the FA VUT Profiles
The standardization primarily concerns:
- profile descriptions (bios), which will now more clearly indicate affiliation with BUT,
- profile names, which will follow a uniform format used across the university,
- usernames and profile URLs,
- selected visual elements—however, the Faculty of Architecture will retain its own graphic templates and distinctive visual identity.
Neither the actual content of the profiles nor the Faculty
of Architecture’s communication style will change.
What the Change Will Bring
Uniform profile labeling will make it easier to navigate
among the accounts of individual faculties and other BUT units. Prospective
students, current students, alumni, and the general public will thus be able to
more easily recognize official profiles and find the information they are
looking for more quickly.
Consistent names and descriptions will also help improve the
discoverability of profiles in search engines and tools that use artificial
intelligence.
Good to Know
There is no need to refollow the profiles, and their content
or focus will not change. Only the profile name, username, or description may
change. As for the visual design, the changes will primarily involve adjusting
and standardizing existing elements.
If you have saved direct links or bookmarks, we recommend
checking them at the beginning of the semester. Thank you for your patience
during these ongoing changes.
