Gallery mini: TITUL 2025 exhibition opening

Every diploma or bachelor’s thesis begins as a personal story – a search for an answer to a question that goes beyond the assignment itself.

Over the course of months, it has grown into a carefully crafted project whose aim is not only to succeed at the final defence but, above all, to offer a new perspective on architecture, the city, and society. The exhibition Titul_2025 gives space to those whose works were awarded by an independent jury. It also presents the winning projects of the Bohuslav Fuchs Award, recognising the best studio projects created at the Faculty of Architecture BUT.

The exhibited projects should not be left to sink to the bottom of drawers. We do not want high-quality and bold projects to disappear in archives – instead, we want to present them to the public as an impulse for dialogue about what architecture can mean.

Among the awarded projects, we find a wide spectrum of themes – from participatory housing for the Roma community and an experimental laboratory of architectural education, through sensitive transformations of public spaces, to the design of a new glassworks in Květná. Students examine the relationship between architecture and society, search for paths toward a sustainable city, and test the limits of architectural creation. What unites them is rigorous analytical work, courage to innovate, and the ability to transform personal visions into a legible architectural form.

The exhibition Titul_2025 is therefore not only a showcase of the best student projects, but also a probe into the future of architecture. It is an invitation to discover new perspectives – whether at the scale of detail, building, or the entire city. The true value of these works begins right here: at the moment when they cease to be just papers and models and become an inspiration for
the wider community.

Foreword: Ing. arch. Radek Toman, PhD.
Architectural design: Ing. arch. Roman Warta
